2013 Cubs Tales From The VWR

Herein, post all your comments and experiences in the dreaded ticket virtual waiting room, and/or how you were able to get Cubs tickets this year through the wristband system at the box office.

Cubs tickets go on sale at the time of this post, 8 a.m. CT Friday, at the Wrigley Field ticket offices, for wristband holders. The winning number announced Wednesday was 12511; the Cubs called the first 500 numbers after that to start, but my guess is that in not very long, the windows will be open to everyone.

If you're looking to buy tickets online or by phone, those sales begin at 10 a.m. CT. Here are the rules for those sales:

A virtual waiting room will be used for all Internet orders. The virtual waiting room will begin accepting customers Friday, March 8, at 9:30 a.m. CT. At 10 a.m. CT, customers will be selected from the virtual waiting room to begin purchasing tickets. You need a valid cubs.com account to order tickets online. You can also order by phone at the same time, 10 a.m. CT, by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS (843-2827).

The Cubs have set a limit of eight tickets per marquee date (Opening Day 4/8, and the following dates: 5/29, 5/30, 7/5, 7/12, 7/13, 7/14, 8/3, 8/17).

Good luck!
