There are several possibilities to replay this game. By the terms of the night-game ordinance, the Cubs can play a split doubleheader with a night game, on the date of an originally scheduled day game, if the game rained out is a night game.
The Brewers return to Chicago July 29, 30 and 31; those are all night dates, so if they play a split DH then, it would likely be July 30, the middle date of that series. The two teams have two common off dates where they could play without violating the CBA's prohibition against playing more than 20 straight days: May 9 and September 5.
So we'll see. In the meantime, if you have tickets for tonight's game, hang on to them; they'll likely be good for the makeup date, and even though the Cubs' official position is "no refunds", it's my understanding that if you ask, they'll give you your money back.
UPDATE: Here's the makeup date info:
Tonight's ppd game rescheduled for 1:20 p.m. July 30 as part of a day-night doubleheader.
