2013 MLB Trade Deadline: Who Will The Cubs Deal?

The trading deadline is upon us. Who, if anyone, gets swapped today?

Rob Carr

It's July 31.

And that means Major League Baseball's non-waiver trade deadline is upon us; it happens at 3 p.m. CT this afternoon. Now, that doesn't mean that if you don't hear of any trades by exactly three o'clock, that none have happened. Sometimes it takes an hour or two after that to get all the details of a trade ironed out, and get announced (or leaked, as the case may be).

The Cubs have been among the busier teams so far this trading season, unloading two starting pitchers and a starting outfielder and getting back a pretty good haul of both prospects and also two pitchers with major-league experience who could be a big part of this team going forward.

There have been many rumors swirling around Cubs players. Will they make a deal or deals today? If so, who's gone? Nate Schierholtz? Kevin Gregg? David DeJesus? Someone else? Because the deadline hits before game time today, there won't be any visible dugout hugs.

Use this post for all-purpose trade discussion today. If the Cubs actually do make a deal (or deals), I'll make a separate post for each one. And vote in the poll (remember, I can't make a poll with multiple options, which is why this poll is worded for only one trade).
