Wrigley Field Construction Update: October 22, Part 2

The demolition crew worked into the late afternoon Wednesday, so we have more photos!

Later Wednesday afternoon, after I had been to Wrigley and taken some photos to post, BCB's David Sameshima arrived and found the demolition crew working late into the afternoon. They're allowed to work from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. so they might have even worked after dark.

Here's David's report:

They now appear to be working on bringing down that small section left in Section 303. There was a welder cutting beams, and a jackhammer equipped bobcat working by the Section 303 "well." There is a small hole punched in the middle of Section 302's seating section. They may be working on taking down the left-field corner now. There's lots of debris clearing work still being done on Waveland too.I saw a Bobcat, with a jackhammer attachment, breaking away pavement along a concourse ramp along the western edge of the park. Lots of debris still being cleared away in the Red Lot on Clark as well. That crane you photographed has now been assembled, and is parked opposite the McDonald's.

We should have more photos later today.
