We got a closer game for Game 3, though it wasn't one of those thrilling walkoff wins we've seen so many of earlier in this postseason.
This time, it was the Royals' lockdown bullpen that did its job the way it's been doing so all year -- and Ned Yost even wound up pushing the right buttons. Will wonders never cease.
If the Royals win this one, the Giants' proverbial back is to the wall. If the Giants win, it's reduced to a best-of-three.
I'd love to see a seven-game series with lots of back-and-forth, so that would call for a Giants win today. Both pitchers in this game have struggled at times, both during the season and the playoffs. There's a slight chance of rain tonight, but radars show most of the rain out of the area. A bigger problem for players tonight might be wind playing tricks with the ball in the oddly-angled outfield at AT&T Park.
