BCB's David Sameshima paid a post-Thanksgiving visit to Wrigley Field on Friday and filed this report:
I was surprised to see virtually no work taking place. I arrived after 2:00 p.m. There was a group of workers leaving the job site right after I arrived, so there was at least some activity taking place before I arrived.I did not see any utility work taking place. There are still multiple locations around the ballpark waiting to be completed. A lot of concrete has been laid along the east side of Sheffield Avenue which is currently under cover, as you can see in photos 7, 8, 13 and 15. Most of the north end of the triangle lot has been cleared of dirt mounds and debris.
The project should be able to swing into high (or at least somewhat higher) gear next week, as weather conditions should be favorable (or at least not unfavorable) for construction work. We'll have more photos here tomorrow.
