Back in January, I gave away Wrigley Field Ballpark Blueprint posters, a cool-looking drawing of Wrigley Field and its various parts done in blueprint style.
Now, you can win one of these for your veryownself. I have one of these posters to give away, and I'll choose the winner at random from BCB readers who submit by email to me at this address, the correct answer to the following trivia question:
Name the only major-league team in the lively-ball era (since 1920) to go homerless in the first 32 games of a season.
Last year's question seemed a bit too easy, so I consulted Mike Bojanowski for a question that couldn't be easily researched on baseball-reference. Please use the email link above -- it will put "Poster Contest Answer" in the subject line and make it easy for me to find your emailed entry.
In order to be fair to everyone, I'm closing comments on this post -- all answers must be submitted by email. If more than one person submits the correct answer, the winner will be chosen by random drawing among the correct responders. Same thing If there is no correct response: the winner will be awarded by random drawing among all entrants. So even if you don't think you know the answer, send in a guess -- you could still win. Remember, one entry per person.
The complete official contest rules are at this link (link opens .pdf).
Good luck! The contest is open as of the time of this post (10 a.m. CT, Sunday, December 14), and all entries must be received by email no later than 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, December 17. I'll announce the winner a few days after that. Sometime later this week, I'll be running a similar contest for a different poster, so stay tuned!
