Elias Stein is an illustrator and designer who's also a Cubs fan, and he's created the cool Cubs-related poster you see at the top of this post. Click here for a larger version of the poster image in a new browser window or tab.
You can win one of these for your veryownself. I have one of these posters to give away, and I'll choose the winner at random from BCB readers who submit by email to me at this address, the correct answer to the following trivia question:
Name the only player in major-league history who appeared in a World Series after not making a single appearance during that year's regular season.
If there's more than one entrant with the correct answer, as noted above, I'll choose the winner randomly. If no one submits the correct answer, a winner will be drawn from among all entrants, so even if you don't think you know the answer, go ahead and submit an entry anyway.
The contest begins as of the time of this post (4 p.m. CT Thursday, December 18) and entries must be received by 4 p.m. CT Sunday, December 21. Complete official contest rules are here (link opens .pdf). Once again, I am closing comments on this post in order to be fair to everyone who enters. Please use the email link above -- it will put "North Side Poster Contest Answer" in the subject line and make it easy for me to find your emailed entry
If you're interested in buying one of these, they're $35 each and are available at Elias Stein's online store. There's a special code you can use at checkout for $5 off: SBNATION.
