BCB's David Sameshima has usually been visiting Wrigley Field for photos of the construction project during daytime hours. So I thought you'd enjoy seeing these photos he took Tuesday evening. Included are some of the construction site -- where David says not much work appeared to be going on in the bleachers Tuesday, though there was quite a bit of activity in the triangle lot -- as well as photos of the holiday decorations near Wrigley.
The Cubs sent out an email to Wrigleyville neighbors Tuesday with this construction update:
Construction will halt on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Work will continue as usual between the holidays and throughout the weekends as needed. Crews will adhere to City of Chicago noise limitations between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.We appreciate your continued support and patience as we work to restore and expand Wrigley Field to provide better facilities for our players, more amenities for our fans and continued economic benefits to the community. As we prepare to break and celebrate the holidays, we wish you and your family a happy holiday season and bright and prosperous 2015.
We'll have the usual daytime photo updates, which will cover Monday through Wednesday, sometime tomorrow.
