Wrigley Field Construction Update: December 22

Here are photos from Monday's work -- or lack of same -- at the ballpark.

Today will be catch-up day for the Wrigley construction photo series, as I have David Sameshima's photos from Monday, Tuesday and (hopefully) Wednesday to present to you today.

David told me that these photo sets were chosen specifically to show not only the work being done, but what work is not being done in specific areas around Wrigley Field. He added, for this set of photos taken Monday:

Monday was a cold drizzly day at the ballpark. Little activity was visible from the street today. There was work taking place in the triangle lot, but there weren't many opportunities for pedestrians to see anything.

Check out the photo captions for more info on each specific photo. Though work has picked up in several areas around the ballpark, I personally would be more confident in the Cubs' ability to get this project done in time for Opening Night if I began to see the steel superstructure of the bleachers up.

Tuesday photos will post at 2 p.m. CT.
