THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Luis Valbuena (.225). Finally found the Hero podium again on the final game of the homestand.
- Hero - Starlin Castro (.033). Well, he had to nullify the Goat from earlier in the day.
- Sidekick - Mike Olt (.021). Wait... huh? A pinch-walk with the Cubs down four in the fifth was good for third place? Yikes.
THE THREE GOATS:
- Billy Goat - Jeff Samardzija (-.432). I'm not sure what hurt him more, the rain delay or the bad acting by Nate McLouth.
- Goat - Darwin Barney (-.090). Eventually he had to make an out that was going to matter. The law of averages says so.
- Kid - Chris Coghlan (-.068). Last had a hit leading off on June 21, and is 2-for-29 this season in the leadoff spot. Please make it stop.
