Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: Chicago Dog Bloody Mary
When it comes to day drinking there are few better eye openers than a bloody mary which combines a a garnished liquid salad with alcohol.

Concessions of a Cubs Fan: Cincinnati Cheese Coney
When a hot dog is not labeled "all-beef", my mind tends to wander about what might be in it. This never proves to be a particularly appetizing thought experiment. Pig lips? Squirrel tail? Gapper the Reds mascot's mutant cousin "Crapper"? Who knows?!

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: The Beef & Cheddar
Gilbert's claim to fame is as the official chicken sausage of Wrigley, but the Beef & Cheddar sounded so good that I just had to order one. Beef smoked sausage with cheddar cheese, topped with mac and cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and BBQ sauce.

The Cubs Invited Me To Lunch At Sloan Park
... and it was delicious. There will be new food offerings and a few other minor changes at the Cubs' spring home this year.

The Pittsburgh Pulled Pork Pierogi Stacker
Pulled pork is delicious. Pierogies are pretty darn good. But put these two items on a salty pretzel bun with a caramelized onion spread and something goes wrong.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: A Tale of Two Hot Dogs
With the Decade Dog debacle finally finished, (but not yet quite digested) for the Cubs 2014 season, I thought it would be appropriate to review a couple of the hot dogs Wrigley Field regularly offers as part of their standard fare.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: The Bagel Dog
The crust was a tad stale and devastatingly crispy, and the dough was so chewy that I wondered if the chefs were paying homage to P.K. Wrigley by giving the inner bread the consistency of chewing gum.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: The Pulled Pork Dog
The first question that came to mind when considering the Cubs celebration of the 1970s with a Pulled Pork Dog was "Why pulled pork?" Wouldn't a quiche or fondue dog be a more appropriate homage to the decade of disco?

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: The Buffalo Wing Dog
With Buffalo Wing Dog in tow, I found my scalped seat just as the Braves tacked on 3 more runs. I smoothed out the coleslaw with my index finger and redistributed the weight of the shredded chicken by squishing it through the bun, and took a bite.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: The TV Dinner Dog
The potatoes affixed themselves to the roof of my mouth as the corn swam over my tongue in warm gravy. The essence of salty dog then overpowered the blandness of the other flavors upon chewing.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: "The Cheesesteak Dog"
Apparently, the provolone aspect of this sandwich is the white smegma smeared upon the steak. And given the low quality of the "steak" in question, and the overcooked yet cold peppers and onions, I would say you'd be better off with a vendor's dog.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: "Cub Paws"
Sliders. What could they possibly do wrong to sliders? Well…let me put it this way…the only thing sliding was the quality of the food. Ordering these mini burgers for $15 with chips and two sides was a huge mistake for this hungry fan.

Concessions Of A Cubs Fan: Reuben Dog
What I had hoped would be a heart attack in a bun was a bit short of that. The cheese was cold. The corned beef sparse, sauerkraut cold, and the Russian dressing could be compared to whatever orange goo resides at the end of a Subway production line.
