The Royals won the World Series for the first time since 1985. Managerial news. Some Halloween tricks and treats.

Last night's World Series ended too late for me to link to any articles that discuss it. But let me sum them up for you: Terry Collins was a fool for letting Matt Harvey pitch the ninth. Eric Hosmer was a brilliant baserunner who took advantage of the poor Mets defense or he was an idiot who got lucky. The Royals are really good and it's a sign of a new emphasis on small-ball in the game or the Royals are just a really good team that won in spite of small-ball. The Royals won because of team chemistry.

And tomorrow will be a better day than today, Buster.
