The Arizona Fall League announced the rosters for its annual Fall Stars Game, which will be played this coming Saturday, November 7 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Righthanded pitcher Corey Black and catcher Willson Contreras will represent the Mesa Solar Sox for the East squad. Contreras has had a fantastic start to his AFL season. As of Monday he is hitting .302/.380/.605 (13-for-43) with 10 runs scored, four doubles and three home runs.

Black has a 7.11 ERA in six relief appearances. You might say "That isn't star-quality," and in general you'd be right, but the AFL is a hitters' league and the league does want somewhat equal representation for all teams in this game.

You can help elect one more Cubs prospect to play in the game. As MLB does for its own All-Star Game, they are conducting a "Final Vote" between three players for each Fall Stars squad, East and West. Cubs prospect Jeimer Candelario is hitting .350/.381/.725 (14-for-40) with six doubles and three home runs and seems to be worthy of Fall Stars honors. You can vote for him via this online ballot through Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. CT.

The game will be at 7 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 7 and will be televised live on MLB Network. I'll have a game thread posted here for the game an hour before game time.

Let's get Candelario a spot on this roster!
