The Mets and Cubs last met in the National League Championship Series. That didn't turn out too well for our side, as you certainly remember.

Thursday afternoon, the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s announced their annual Big League Weekend. The Mets, who affiliate with the 51s in the Pacific Coast League, will face the Cubs in two exhibition games at Cashman Field Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1. Times for these games have not yet been announced. Adam Rubin of ESPN New York first reported this.

This is the 12th straight year the Cubs have been part of Big League Weekend in Las Vegas and for the Mets, their second in the last three years and third overall.

Tickets for these games will go on sale in February, likely through the Las Vegas 51s website. The Cubs' spring-training schedule has not yet been officially released, but I'd assume they would then be off on Saturday, April 2 before heading to Anaheim for an exhibition game Sunday, April 3 and the season opener Monday, April 4, both against the Angels.

I'll post the full Cubs spring schedule when it's available.
