Cubs 2016 Spring-Training Schedule

Ready for some baseball? (Of course you are.) Here's when it will be happening for the Cubs next spring.

It's never too early to start thinking about spring-training baseball, especially when the weather is chilly in Chicago.

The Cubs released their spring-training schedule Friday. It includes 31 games over 32 days, including one split-squad game. The Cubs are currently scheduled for 14 games at Sloan Park and 17 away games. They are still attempting to add a 15th home game as a split-squad affair. Spring season-ticket holders were billed for 15 games and would get refunded if this doesn't happen, according to an email spring season-ticket holders received earlier Friday.

The Cubs will wrap the pre-season schedule with two games in Las Vegas against the Mets March 31 and April 1, as I first reported Thursday, and a game against the Angels in Anaheim that will be an exhibition tilt April 3, before they open the regular season April 4 in the same stadium.

Individual game tickets for games at Sloan Park will go on sale Saturday, January 9 at 11 a.m. CT at the Sloan Park ticket office, on www.cubs.com or by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS.

Here's the complete schedule. Home games in boldface. All games start at 2:05 CT through March 12, 3:05 CT from March 13 forward, unless noted below. Daylight Saving time begins March 13. Broadcast information is up to date as of January 27, 2016.
