Wrigley Field Construction Update: February 6

New, comments

We've got lots of construction photos to show you today.

BCB's David Sameshima still has that stubborn cold. However, he did make visits to Wrigley Field Friday, Saturday and Monday, and didn't have the time to send me the photos until late last night.

So today, we'll have three separate posts to update you on the construction project, which is still on target for a May 11 opening.

Here's David's report from last Friday:

I arrived just after 2:00 p.m. More steel was going up behind center field on the Waveland Avenue side. There is scaffolding set up underneath the third base line display board, along the upper deck. They might be removing the display that will be replaced by new digital display signs. They were continuing with the storm drain replacement work at the corner of Clark and Waveland.

Here, then, are 25 photos from Friday afternoon's visit. We'll have two more construction-update posts today, with photos from Saturday and also from Monday, a bit later on today.
