Wrigley Field Construction Update: February 10

New, comments

We're catching up again with some photos from earlier this week.

BCB's David Sameshima has still been battling the nasty cold that's sidelined him for much of the last few weeks. He visited Wrigley Field last Tuesday, and also Friday. This post contains photos from Tuesday, and here's his report from that day:

I arrived very late, at 4:30 p.m. I didn't have much time to take photos before I lost the light. It was 30 degrees (+22 wind chill) when I arrived. There was no steel going up in left field during my visit. They were busy working on the inner bleacher wall in right field. I couldn't see any workers, but I could hear them working. In a few of my photos, you can see the work lights on, along the top of the right-field wall. They were still working in right field, the triangle lot and inside the ballpark when I left at 5:00pm.I also have a photo (photo 10) looking south on Sheffield Avenue from Waveland Avenue. You can now begin to clearly see how much narrower Sheffield will become when this project is done.

Photos from Friday will post today at 1 p.m. CT.
