Here's the latest information on Cubs ticket sales for the 2015 season.

I've been asked a number of times, both here at BCB and by email, about the Cubs' single-game ticket sale procedures for this season. The date (Friday, March 6) has been known since last September, but when answering with that date I've always added that I'd post more information when I received it.

Today, I've received further information, so here's everything I know.

The regular ticket on-sale will begin at 10 a.m. CT Friday, March 6. There won't be any ticket sales at Wrigley Field due to construction; all sales will be online at cubs.com or by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS (1-800-843-2827). You will need a cubs.com (or MLB.com) account to buy tickets online and the team suggests that you register for an account ahead of time if you don't already have one. The dreaded Virtual Waiting Room will open at 9:30 a.m. CT.

If you can't wait for that date you can buy tickets starting Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m. CT in the team's MasterCard presale. You'll pay a 20 percent premium over the face price during this presale, or 15 percent if you use a MasterCard. The MasterCard presale is online only at cubs.com.

"After an offseason filled with exciting additions to the team and improvements to Wrigley Field, we can’t wait to get started on the 2015 season," said Colin Faulkner, vice president of sales and partnerships, Chicago Cubs. "Our fans will enjoy a schedule with fun promotions, rare Interleague visits and classic rivalry matchups, including Major League Baseball’s Opening Night game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals."

The team also announced special dates for certain Friday games in May, June, July, August and September in the bleachers. On those dates the bleachers could feature pre- or post-game entertainment, exclusive giveaway items, special food and beverages and more. For the most up-to-date promotional schedule, visit cubs.com; here's a look at the most recent promo schedule sent out by the Cubs Tuesday, which lists some of those Friday events in addition to the rest of the giveaways and special events:

If you want to buy tickets in person, you can get them at the Cubs Store at 3616 N. Clark beginning Monday, March 9 at 9 a.m. CT. Tickets will be sold at the Cubs Store from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day between that date and Opening Night, with the exception of Saturday, March 14.

If you're a season-ticket holder, the Cubs are expected to have a presale for you to buy additional single-game tickets, probably Thursday, March 5. Watch your email for information on this presale.
