Cubs vs. Angels 'B' Game Open Thread

These games can be fun. They're unofficial, off the schedule, yet are still baseball!

MESA, Arizona -- Weather permitting (and at this point it looks like it will permit), the Cubs and Angels will face each other in a "B" game that will start at 3 p.m. CT. I suppose the regular schedule is considered the "A" game -- thus the "B" designation. None of the stats from this game will count in spring-training statistics, and there is no audio nor TV coverage. I am planning on attending and will tweet out play-by-play (result of each at-bat, not pitch-by-pitch).

Cubs lineup;

La Stella 2B, Denorfia LF, Bryant DH, Montero C, Russell SS, Alcantara 3B, Almora CF, Valaika 1B, McKinney RF

Angels lineup:

Giovatella LF, Green SS, Joyce DH, Navarro DH, Butera C, Kubitza 3B, Robertson CF, Wheeler 1B, Yarbrough 2B

Kyle Hendricks will start this game for the Cubs. Also scheduled to throw: Eric Jokisch, Zac Rosscup, and making his first appearance in a game, Daniel Bard.

Nick Tropeano starts for the Angels. Other Angels on the list to pitch include: Matt Lindstrom, Vinnie Pestano, Chris O'Grady, Steven Hensley and Brian Loconsole.

After that I'll be heading over to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick for the Cubs' first night game of the spring. The game preview for that game will post at 7 p.m. CT.

I'll recap both games tomorrow morning. This will be the only thread for this game. Enjoy this extra little slice of spring baseball!
