Wrigley Field Construction Update: March 6

The best news for the construction workers is the weather forecast.

I arrived at 3:00 p.m. It was 27 degrees (+13 wind chill). There was a lot of noise and the ground was vibrating. The pile drivers were very busy at work in the triangle lot. Today was a good example of what the residents are experiencing. I also took advantage of the relatively nice weather to take photos illustrating the rather cramped road conditions around the ballpark. I wanted to convey how traffic will be even more congested than usual. On Waveland Avenue, there was a lot more bleacher steel work up in left field. They were lifting girders into place during my visit. Concrete was also being poured under the left-center field bleachers. It was quiet on the right-field side.

Opening Night is 29 days away and the scheduled opening of the left-field bleachers is in 65 days.
