Here is BCB's David Sameshima's report on a late-afternoon visit to Wrigley Field on Sunday:
I arrived at 4:25 p.m. This was much later than I intended. Based on what they did the last few days, I expected them to continue work in the bleachers on Sunday. I originally planned to arrive midday to capture them putting up more of the right field video board structure. I was also hoping to catch them pouring more concrete in the left field bleachers.By the time I arrived, there was very little work taking place outside. I saw some workers leaving when I walked up. There were just a handful of contractors still working along Sheffield and Waveland Avenues. Compared to Saturday's photos, you can see that more of the bracing for the right field video board has been installed.Since it was quiet outside the ballpark, I took the opportunity to walk up to the Waveland fence to take photos of the triangle lot. During the week, it can be difficult to look into the few openings in the fence, due to the truck traffic along Waveland Avenue.
It will be interesting to see the differences in the ballpark from the last game on Wednesday, to tonight's game. I would expect some work to be going on during the day when there are night games, possibly ending around 3 p.m. when players, workers and fans start to arrive.
