I'm guessing he just wanted to share the podium with everyone else on the Cubs. After showing up there nine times in the first 11 games, there might have been some podium envy going on.

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.
THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Anthony Rizzo (.567). Is an on-base percentage of .493 any good? Oh, and that's the fourth time a Cub hitter has posted a WPA of .550 or above this season compared to once all of last year.
- Hero - Jonathan Herrera (.332). The Statistical Anomaly strikes again!
- Sidekick - Zac Rosscup (.207). The strikeout of Jay Bruce to end the eighth was huge.
THE THREE GOATS:
- Billy Goat - Starlin Castro (-.294). The whiff in the ninth with runners on second and third sank him. Unfortunately, WPA doesn't care if you're facing Aroldis Chapman.
- Goat - Jorge Soler (-.166). As J.D. said in the 11th inning, he's going through a bit of a rough patch.
- Kid - David Ross (-.147). Same thing as Castro above with his foulout to end the ninth.

Rizzo returns to the top of the plus/minus chart, while Herrera continues his improbable climb to the top of the mountain.
