Anyone who has been following this feature long enough should know that the Hero podium for this game is going to be an ugly bunch. Rest assured, though: The dreaded anti-hero will not be making an appearance.

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.
THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Addison Russell (.054). Wins almost by default courtesy of two hits.
- Hero - James Russell (.003). Well, if Russell makes it by virtue of not giving up a run while he was on the mound, then that means...
- Sidekick - Justin Grimm (.001). ...also gets a spot for the same accomplishment.
THE THREE GOATS:
- Billy Goat - Jake Arrieta (-.220). Fun Fact: Tuesday night was only the second time in Arrieta's career that he allowed more than five walks; the first time was on July 31, 2011.
- Goat - Miguel Montero (-.116). Probably would have been a much closer race for the second stair if not for his inning-ending whiff with the bases loaded in the third.
- Kid - Chris Coghlan (-.048). Unfortunately for him the shot he took off of his elbow in the ninth didn't deflect the needle at all.
RANKINGS THROUGH GAME 62 ("x" indicates player not on active roster):
Most of the movement occurs in the middle on Tuesday, with Arrieta, Montero, and Russell of the Addison variety all separated by less than a point in the race for fifth place on the plus/minus chart.
