The move leaves the Cubs with Miguel Montero and Kyle Schwarber to share the catching duties over the next few games, or possibly to have both of them in the lineup at the same time as the Cubs are not scheduled to face a lefty starter through at least the next four games. This also marks the sixth stint that Szczur will have with the big club this season.
Our thoughts are with Ross and his family during this time.
