2016 Cubs Spring Training Countdown: 30 Days

Here's one of your favorites.

Ted Lilly was among the most popular members of the 2007 and 2008 Cubs N.L. Central divisional championship teams.

There are a lot of things we can remember from Ted's big-league career. There's his fine 2008 season during which he made the All-Star team.

Then there's this, from the 2007 division series against the Diamondbacks, something we'd probably all like to forget:

But perhaps the best memory of Ted is his takedown of Yadier Molina:

Ted was out, but that was awesome, and the Cubs won the game anyway.

Ted was hired as a special assistant by the Cubs front office two years ago, and still works in that capacity. It's good to have him in the fold. You might remember that during Ted's Cubs tenure, he and his wife Natasha had a son, Theodore Roosevelt Lilly IV. Ted the Fourth is now nearly six years old. Won't be too long before he can carry on his dad's legacy.
