Wednesday afternoon, Major League Baseball announced game times through Monday for all the League Championship Series contests, both for the ALCS between the Blue Jays and Indians, and the Cubs facing either the Dodgers or Nationals. The winner of Thursday’s game between the latter two clubs will fly to Chicago to take on the Cubs Saturday at Wrigley Field.
Both Game 1 and Game 2 at Wrigley, Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16, will start at 7:08 p.m. CT, basically the same time as most regular-season night games. I’d expect the rest of the NLCS games to be at that time, as the Cubs are likely a much better prime-time attraction than either Toronto or Cleveland, and that’s not intended as a slight to those clubs, just a fact.
The Blue Jays and Indians will play Game 1 of the ALCS Friday in Cleveland at 7:08 p.m. CT. ALCS Game 2, also in Cleveland, will be at 3:08 p.m. CT, and as those clubs move to Toronto for Game 3 Monday, October 17, that will be in the evening, 7:08 p.m. CT.
ALCS games will all be on TBS and all the NLCS games will be on FS1.
An important reminder via MLB: All remaining postseason games will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.
