It's a different kind of hot take.

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.
The Ramirez Catalyst of World Series Game 2: With one out and one on in the top of the first, Anthony Rizzo turns on a fastball from Trevor Bauer and sends it off the wall in right field on a hop for a double, scoring Kris Bryant and putting the Cubs ahead early 1-0. WPA impact: +.116.
THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Jake Arrieta (.224). He had a lot of long counts in Game 2, but two hits and three walks over five-plus innings is still a good night on the hill. Especially in a game of this magnitude.
- Hero - Anthony Rizzo (.129). The middle of the order definitely got the job done, with Rizzo's double in the first leading the way...
- Sidekick - Kyle Schwarber (.119). ...while the legend continues to grow for the Warbird, knocking in two runs with two singles and adding a walk as well.
THE THREE GOATS:
- Billy Goat - Jorge Soler (-.075). It had been a while since the double play overlords claimed a victim, but apparently it was time to collect once again as the 4-6-3 moved Soler to the top of the heap.
- Goat - Dexter Fowler (-.063). He did find his way into the hit column for the first time in the World Series, but it came at the tail end of a 1-for-5 night with the Cubs ahead by four.
- Kid - Kris Bryant (-.026). I guess you could call this the Bryant Maneuver in reverse... he got a hit in his first plate appearance of the game and then just slowly slid from there.
