There's no question that David Ross' influence on the Chicago Cubs will be felt for a long time. He's been a huge part of helping instill a winning culture in the clubhouse, and I hope that he'll return to the organization as a coach as soon as he feels ready to do so.
In the meantime, he'll be in the starting lineup for likely the final time in his big league career for Game 5 of the World Series tonight, catching Jon Lester and batting eighth:

In addition, Joe Maddon is taking a chance on Jason Heyward again starting in right field tonight. He looked a bit better at the plate Saturday night, with two hits. Hopefully, he can continue that. I keep thinking he's ready to break out and have a big game, even though he's likely going to have to totally deconstruct his swing and rework it before 2017.
I still have a good feeling about this one. #LetsGo
