I'll be there for you.

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.
The Ramirez Catalyst of World Series Game 5: Leading off the bottom of the fourth inning, Kris Bryant sends a Trevor Bauer fastball into the first row of the bleachers in left-center field to tie the game at 1-1. WPA impact: +.141.
THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Aroldis Chapman (.404 / .380). Not only was it Chapman's first-ever eight-out save, it was also his first-ever eight-out appearance; his previous record was a seven-out game earlier this season while he was still a member of the Yankees, and as coincidence would have it, that game was also against the Indians. It's also only the second time in his career that he's posted a WPA above .400 in a single game, and only the second time that any Cub has done it in the postseason since Hank Borowy pitched the final four innings of Game 6 of the 1945 World Series.
- Hero - Kris Bryant (.123). What better time to drive in your first run of the World Series... the Cubs desperately needed a shot in the arm, and Bryant was there to start things off.
- Sidekick - Jon Lester (.090 / .043). Another strong postseason outing, allowing only four hits over six innings while not walking anyone and striking out five.
THE THREE GOATS:
- Billy Goat - Jason Heyward (-070). The single in the eighth past Jason Kipnis along with the two stolen bases didn't come close to making a dent in his three strikeouts earlier in the game.
- Goat - Carl Edwards Jr. (-.038). He didn't have any leash in this game and possibly could have avoided the podium had it not been for the passed ball from...
- Kid - Willson Contreras (-.018). ...who gets the final step for what seemed like an innocent groundout to start the seventh. Once again, karma has a way of balancing things out.
