This is (somewhat) old news, but if you have not yet heard, some of the Cubs are heading to New York City to appear on NBC’s Saturday Night Live:
No idea if Benedict Cumberbatch is a Cubs fan, but he will get caught up in the World Series hoopla Saturday night.
Cumberbatch is the host for this week's "Saturday Night Live" and some Cubs players are expected to appear on the show.
Catcher David Ross told MLB Network that players will fly to New York sometime after Friday's rally in Chicago.
Cumberbatch, a British-born actor, might not even know anything about baseball, much less the Cubs. But I’m guessing he’s getting a crash course before the Cubs’ appearance.
I’d imagine Ross is one of the players going; perhaps Anthony Rizzo or Kris Bryant would be others.
Who would you like to see from the Cubs on SNL? And what kinds of sketches will they appear in?
The show airs at 10:30 p.m. CT, tonight. Feel free to use this post to discuss the appearance in advance and during the show.
