Cubs Song Parody: ‘Oh, The Cubs Are Raising Prices For Tickets’

BCB’s Danny Rockett spreads a little holiday cheer about the Cubs’ ticket price hike.

Cubs fans wait in line for tickets

Some songs just write themselves. After reading about the Cubs raising ticket prices yesterday, I had this song parody stuck in my head the rest of the day.

Sing Along! (Lyrics below the video)

Oh the Cubs are raising prices for tickets
Give them all your dough
Treating you like an ATM
One beer will cost you 10
My friends and I cannot afford to go!

Oh the Cubs are raising prices for tickets
Gonna cost you more
Cause the Cubs won the World Series, now even the cheapest seats
I cannot afford

They’re gonna make revenue off of me, off of you if the games you wanna attend
Sell all your stocks and get over the shock, they raised prices 20 percent
Cause next year they will probably raise prices once again

Oh the Cubs are raising prices for tickets
Watch the game at home
Wrigley Field I bid you farewell, maybe go to the Cell
No Way! I’ll just listen on radio!

Oh the Cubs are raising prices for tickets
Can’t go if you’re poor
Cause they’re taking all our money, guess I’ll watch ‘em on TV
Now we can’t afford
Cubs tickets anymore
