Cubs pitchers and catchers report this Friday, February 19 and have their first workout Saturday, February 20. The rest of the squad reports a week from today, Tuesday, February 23 and the first full-squad workout is Wednesday, February 24.
With spring training getting ever closer, I thought you'd like to have a look at the 2016 Cubs spring training season tickets. Like last year's, they feature player photos and the photos are the same as the ones on the posters on the walls outside Sloan Park, which I tweeted yesterday (here are the first set of Mesa wall posters and the second set of Mesa wall posters).
If you're coming to spring training and don't have tickets yet, I suggest you get them now. Tickets are selling quickly and four of the 15 games are sold out.
You'll note below that the season price for lawn seats is still a reasonable $10. But the Cubs have "dynamically priced" pretty much every game; some games have lawn tickets priced as high as $21.
Here is the complete spring-training schedule. You'll note there's been one Sloan Park game-time change since I originally posted this in December. The game against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, March 17 will start at 4:05 p.m. Arizona time (6:05 CT). The somewhat odd time is for ESPN, which will carry that game nationally. (ESPN will also carry the Cubs/Giants game from Scottsdale Stadium on Thursday, March 24 at 6:05 CT.)
