After several pre-sales this week, Cubs tickets for the 2016 season will be available to anyone beginning this morning at 10 a.m. CT.
Given what I've heard already about people not having much luck in the season-ticket holder presale Thursday, there might not be many tickets left this morning, particularly for popular dates like Opening Day or the various series against the Cardinals.
Here, once again, are the specific details for today's sale:
A virtual waiting room at cubs.com will begin accepting customers at 9:30 a.m. CT, right at the time this article was posted. At 10 a.m., customers will be randomly selected from the virtual waiting room to begin buying tickets. All Internet customers will need a valid tickets.com account. If you don't have a tickets.com account now, the Cubs highly recommend that you create one before buying tickets.
You can also buy tickets on the phone at the same time, 10 a.m. CT, at 800-THE-CUBS (800-843-2827). Due to the construction going on at Wrigley Field, there won't be any on-site ticket sales there until closer to Opening Night.
Post your stories of success (or failure) from the VWR here. Good luck!
