Cubs vs. Dodgers at Glendale Preview, Saturday 3/12, 8:05 CT

The Cubs play their second (and final) split-squad contest of spring 2016.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona -- Here's the basic information for tonight's game. A recap of this game will post here at 8 a.m. CT Sunday. I'm not going to this game so will watch it on TV with all of you. Complete broadcast info is below; here are the rest of this game's particulars.

Cubs lineup:

Zobrist 2B, Russell SS, Bryant 3B, Montero DH, Soler LF, Baez 1B, Contreras C, Almora CF, Perez RF

As noted earlier, more regulars are playing in this game than in this afternoon's contest.

Dodgers lineup:

Crawford LF, Pederson CF, Puig RF, Gonzalez DH, Utley 3B, Barnes C, Bellinger 1B, Culberson SS, Johnson 2B

Trevor Cahill starts for the Cubs tonight. Others on the Cubs list for tonight: Adam Warren, Stephen Fife and Edgar Olmos.

Brandon Beachy gets the call for the Dodgers. The Dodgers also list Joe Blanton, Chris Hatcher, Luis Avilan and Jamey Wright. Yes, Jamey Wright, who has played for 10 teams and in his rookie year with the 1996 Rockies had Andres Galarraga as a teammate.

There is no Cubs broadcast coverage of this game. However, it will be on MLB.tv via the Dodgers broadcast crew (not Vin Scully, unfortunately), as well as on MLB Audio via the Dodgers radio team. (Radio 570 if you are in the LA area.)

MLB.com Gameday

Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today.

Please visit our SB Nation Dodgers site True Blue LA. If you do go there to interact with Dodgers fans, please be respectful, abide by their individual site rules and serve as a good representation of Cub fans in general and BCB in particular.

Please note that during spring training, Gameday doesn't usually go pitch-by-pitch as it does during the regular season -- usually, it will update after each at-bat.

For spring-training games, we'll have a first-pitch thread at five minutes to game time and one overflow thread, 90 minutes after game time (because I know how you all like overflow threads!). For tonight, that will be 9 p.m. CT and 10:30 p.m. CT.

These threads will not post individually onto the front page; instead, you can find links to them in the box marked "Chicago Cubs Game Threads" at the bottom of the front page. There will also be a StoryStream on the front page with all the game thread links, as well as the recap after the game is over. The pitcher boxes and regular-season stats will return on Opening Day.

Discuss amongst yourselves.
