SCOTTSDALE, Arizona -- The headline to this article is not a jinx. You already know that the Cubs are among the favorites to get to, and possibly win, the 2016 World Series
Thursday, Chris Creamer of the excellent site Sports Logos revealed MLB's 2016 World Series logo:
I can confirm that this is indeed the 2016 #WorldSeries logo #MLB (h/t @RussellJ03) pic.twitter.com/4JTF4YLUMr

Solid, though pretty basic. The words stand out more than on some previous World Series logos. Unlike past years, there are no flags, trophy or globe ("World," get it?), just a representation of the stitches of a baseball. You can see all the WS logos here. As you can see at that link, MLB went with a series of similar logos for a number of years, then changed them to a different set, and has designed a separate WS logo every year since 2000.
This one would look pretty good on the side of a Cubs cap and on the sleeve of the blue pinstripe jersey this October, I'd say. What's your opinion?
