Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs game against New Orleans was suspended by rain in the 7th inning with Iowa leading 2-1. They'll finish this one before tomorrow night's game.
Tennessee Smokies
The Tennessee Smokies were blasted by the Montgomery Biscuits (Rays), 8-1.
It was a rough start for Jen-Ho Tseng, who was torched for seven runs on seven hits, including two home runs, in five innings. Tseng walked three and struck out three.
Catcher Taylor Davis went 2 for 2 with a sac fly.
Myrtle Beach Pelicans
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans deep-fried the Carolina Mudcats (Braves), 6-5 on a walkoff three-run home run by Yasiel Balaguert.
Starter Trevor Clifton gave up a double to leadoff the game and that runner scored two batters later on a wild pitch. After that, Clifton was really good with a final line of two runs, one earned, on three hits over 5.1 innings. Clifton walked two and struck out two.
Jose Rosario pitched the final two innings without allowing a run to get the win. Rosario gave up two hits and walked one while striking out one.
Balaguert's walkoff home run came with two outs in the ninth and was his second home run this season. Balaguert was 3 for 4 with a walk and four total RBI. He scored twice.

Left fielder Shawon Dunston Jr. was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple. Third baseman Jason Vosler went 2 for 4 with an RBI.
South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs tarnished the Ft. Wayne TinCaps (Padres), 7-2.
Ryan Kellogg started and got the win after giving up just one unearned run on three hits over six innings. Kellogg struck out three and walked one.
Greyfer Eregua faced five batters and retired them all for his second save. Eregua struck out two.
DH Eddy Martinez hit his second home run of the season with a two-run shot in the third. Martinez also doubled in a 2 for 4 game. He scored twice.
Shortstop Bryant Flete went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI.
