Relative peace and tranquility for the first seven innings, and then... earthquake!

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.
THE THREE HEROES:
- Superhero - Anthony Rizzo (.453). His homer in the ninth was the second-largest WPA play he's had in his career when his team was behind in the ninth inning or later. The only one bigger was on July 26, 2013 against the Giants when he reached on an error by Brandon Belt that allowed two runs to score and gave the Cubs a 3-2 lead. And that was on a 3-2 count with two out.
- Hero - Addison Russell (.339). A day after setting the table for Albert Almora Jr. to be the hero, it was role-reversal day as it was Almora setting the table and Russell taking the hero mantle.
- Sidekick - Jason Hammel (.327). Potentially lost in all of the drama of the final four innings of the game is the fact that Hammel had yet another excellent outing, allowing only one run over seven innings.
THE THREE GOATS: Today presented in reverse order...
- Kid - Pedro Strop (-.240). For giving up the homer to Stephen Drew that gave the Nationals the lead in the eighth...
- Goat - Hector Rondon (-.308). For giving up the game-tying single to Wilson Ramos in the ninth, and...
- Billy Goat - Adam Warren (-.369). For giving up the game-winning hit to Jayson Werth. There are probably a bunch of people who are wondering where Trevor Cahill is, and the only thing that saved his WPA was the inherited jam that he escaped in the 11th with two on and one out.
RANKINGS THROUGH GAME 64: Hammel pulls into a tie for third place on the charts while the bullpen licks its wounds after a collective slide.
