Rizzo, Bryant, 3 Other Cubs Continue To Lead All-Star Voting

Five Cubs continue to lead the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Ballot.

While the margins may have narrowed somewhat, five Cubs continue to lead the voting for the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, presented by MasterCard. The penultimate voting update was released today and Dexter Fowler, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell and Kris Bryant are still leading in the voting on the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Ballot.

Other non-Cubs players in line to start the game are catcher Yadier Molina and outfielders Bryce Harper and Yoenis Cespedes. Jason Heyward is fourth in voting for outfielders, but his is almost half a million votes behind Cespedes.

Addison Russell is being challenged in the voting by the Rockies Trevor Story. Russell is the only Cub whose lead in the voting is reasonably close.

The Cubs will also likely have some pitchers named to the team. The entire starting rotation is All-Star worthy, although obviously Jake Arrieta and Jon Lester are the most likely to get the nod.
