Previously, the Cubs announced 2017 concerts at Wrigley Field featuring Tom Petty, James Taylor and Dead & Company.
Thursday, we learned of one more concert at the Friendly Confines this summer:
Billy will return to Chicago to perform at Wrigley Field on August 11!@AmericanExpress pre-sale 1/9 at 10am.

There’s been no official announcement from the Cubs on this show, and I presume there will also be a presale for Cubs season-ticket holders, as there generally is for Wrigley concerts.
Billy Joel has played Wrigley five previous times — in 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
The Cubs will be completing a road trip to San Francisco and Arizona at the time of this concert, which will be on a Friday. That date, the Cubs will be facing the Diamondbacks in Phoenix. The next home date after the date of this show is Monday, August 14, when the Cubs will begin a seven-game homestand against the Reds and Blue Jays.
As always, I hope the Cubs have given themselves enough time to get the playing field back in baseball shape after this concert.
