BCB's David Sameshima visited Wrigley Field late Sunday afternoon. He told me they were doing some work on the Addison Street side of the park (you can see that in photo 3), and that not many people were around taking photos. That isn't surprising given the extremely cold temperatures Sunday.
Photo 12 shows the "WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS" sign still on the marquee. As we've noted here often, that never gets old. Hopefully, the Cubs will keep that in the sign's rotation (along with ads) throughout the 2017 season. Or beyond, if the Cubs win the World Series again!
Many of these photos are of the Hotel Zachary site across the street from Wrigley. As you can see, they are making swift progress in getting a foundation for that building put up.
Beyond that, the plaza building appears to be nearing completion. As far as I know, the team is still preparing to move its offices into that building before the home opener, which is now just 90 days away.
We'll have more photo updates as the offseason continues.
