You have been clamoring for this information, and at last, I can bring it to you, just in time for the weekend.
Game 3 of the National League Division Series between the Cubs and Nationals at Wrigley Field will take place Monday, October 9 at 3:08 p.m. CT — unless both American League series are complete, in which case Monday’s game will begin at 4:38 p.m. (As you see below, if only one A.L. series is complete, Monday’s Cubs game will be at 3:08.)
So now you see why this took so long.
Sunset on Monday is at 6:18 p.m., so this could cause some issues with shadows on the field, unless it’s cloudy.
Monday is the last day in the division series round where four games are possible. That would be the day that the A.L. series play Game 4, and the N.L. series Game 3. Tuesday’s Game 4 at Wrigley Field, if necessary, will begin at 4:38 p.m. CT. There are two games scheduled for Tuesday — but if the Dodgers and D-backs are done by then, the Cubs and Nats will play at 7:08 p.m. CT.
Both Game 3 and Game 4 will be televised on TBS, as will all games in the National League Championship Series.
Wednesday would be the day for Game 5 (if necessary) for the American League series, and Thursday is when Game 5 for the National League series would occur.
Below are all the times and TV channels for the remaining division series games. Note that in some cases, games might switch times, as noted.
