2017 American League Division Series, Day 3: Astros vs. Red Sox, Indians vs. Yankees

The A.L. series move to Boston and New York.

The American League series can be wrapped up by this evening, if the Astros and Indians win. Again, please note that if that happens and there are no A.L. games Monday, the Cubs and Nationals will play at 4:38 p.m. CT at Wrigley Field Monday. If either the Red Sox or Yankees (or both) win Sunday, the Cubs game Monday will be at 3:08 p.m. CT. (Also note that the weather forecasts Monday for both New York and Boston call for significant chances of rain. If those games are rained out and they have to play Tuesday, that could cause a change in the schedule for Game 4 of the Cubs/Nats series.)

Game time for Astros/Red Sox: 1:30 p.m. CT. TV: FS1. Announcers: Joe Davis, A.J. Pierzynski, Jon Paul Morosi and David Cone.

Game time for Yankees/Indians: 6:30 p.m. CT. TV: FS1. Announcers: Joe Buck, John Smoltz, Tom Verducci and Ken Rosenthal.

Do you think five hours between the first pitch for these two games is enough so that they don’t overlap? (Kidding. Mostly.)

Lineups for tonight’s Indians/Yankees game are not yet available.

Pitching matchups:

Doug Fister (Red Sox) vs. Brad Peacock (Astros)

Masahiro Tanaka (Yankees) vs. Carlos Carrasco (Indians)
