This won't be a typical BCB day as most of you will be spending the holiday with family and friends. Wherever you are, I hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving and don't eat too much... oh, who am I kidding? That's part of what this holiday is all about.
What do we as Cubs fans have to be thankful for? Plenty. We’ve got a team just one year removed from being a World Series champion, a team that had a good 2017 season even though it fell short of repeating at that goal, and one that should make a good run at winning another World Series next year.
Enjoy this holiday with your family and friends. I’ll have another 2017 Cubs victory to revisit here later today, and we’ll resume normal BCB programming tomorrow.
In the meantime, if you’re not in the mood for the traditional Thanksgiving football games, NBC Sports Chicago (that’s the new name for CSN Chicago, we’ll all have to get used to it) is running Cubs Classic games today, for those of you with access to this channel.
At 12:30 p.m. CT, they will be replaying the September 21 5-3, 10-inning win over the Brewers at Miller Park.
At 8 p.m. CT you can watch the Cubs’ division clincher against the Cardinals from September 27 at Busch Stadium, which will be followed by the Cubs’ clinching celebration.
The 2017 Cubs victories revisited series will resume tomorrow. Also, the 1984 Cubs Heroes & Goats series, which has been running on Thursdays, this week will run tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
