The Arizona Fall League tonight plays its All-Star Game, appropriately titled “Fall Stars Game,” where the best performers from the three East teams in the AFL play the best of the West.
Cubs prospects Adbert Alzolay, David Bote and Jake Stinnett will play in this game. Previous recent Cubs prospects in the AFL have included Kris Bryant, Albert Almora Jr., Kyle Schwarber and Ian Happ. Happ hit two home runs in last year’s AFL championship game, presaging his fine rookie year for the Cubs in 2017.
The game, which will be at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, spring home of the Diamondbacks and Rockies, begins at 7 p.m. CT and will be televised live on MLB Network, as well as streamed live on MLB.com.
MLB.com Gameday (classic mode)
(Note: Going forward, I am going to link to the “classic” Gameday here because MLB.com broke the links I used to use to get to their “new” Gameday. If you click on this link, you can then click on “New Gameday” at the bottom of the page to get to the updated version. Note that the “classic” Gameday won’t load until just before game time.)
This will be the only thread for tonight’s game. Enjoy, and discuss amongst yourselves.
