Wrigley Field construction update: November 4, part 2

Here are some more photos from Saturday at the ballpark.

On Saturday, BCB’s Mike Bojanowski visited Wrigley Field and I posted this photo gallery of images he shot there that afternoon.

BCB’s David Sameshima also visited Wrigley Field Saturday and I thought I’d share with you these photos he sent me. Some of them duplicate what Mike sent, others show different parts of the construction project, particularly the area around the bleachers and areas near the original offices on Addison and where the famously disliked concrete panels are being removed from the area outside Gate D.

We are just now at about the equivalent time from last year when the offseason construction began, the work in 2016 delayed for the best possible reason, the Cubs’ World Series win.

With two additional weeks of work available to the team this October, you can see they’ve made considerable progress in several areas.

There are 154 days until the home opener April 9 against the Pirates: exactly 22 weeks from today. If the winter weather cooperates, they should have no trouble finishing up all the work planned for this offseason.

We’ll have more photos here later in the week.
