While you enjoy this Christmas holiday, what would be on your wish list for Santa to leave under the tree for the Cubs?
It obviously won’t happen by Christmas, but I hope that soon Yu Darvish will be the gift many of us have been looking for.
The Cubs could still use another reliever to add to the bullpen, and a veteran backup catcher. I’m hoping Alex Avila will re-sign, but if the Cubs chose to bring back Rene Rivera, that’d be all right as well.
It’s just 60 days until the first spring training game, and 94 days until the Cubs open the 2018 regular season against the Marlins at Miami. Baseball will be here before you know it!
