SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — The Cubs are everywhere. “Saturday Night Live,” “Dancing With The Stars,” national TV appearances coming up on ESPN’s season openers.

Sports Illustrated Tuesday released images of their three regional covers for their annual baseball preview issue, and the Cubs’ Kris Bryant will be one of three so honored. Here’s a larger version of the photo at the top of this post.

The other two covers feature Mike Trout of the Angels and the Boston Red Sox outfield.

In the issue there are features on Bryant, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, the “Culture Culture" of the Red Sox, and an oral history from Trout. As usual for the annual baseball preview issue, there will be scouting reports for all 30 teams as well as Jonah Keri’s 2017 MLB Trade Value Player Rankings.

SI and its site SI.com are picking the Dodgers to win the World Series over the Indians. They’ve got the Cubs losing the NLCS to the Dodgers.

Well, they didn’t pick the Cubs last year, either. And that’s why they play the games. We are just 12 days away from the Cubs and Cardinals opening the 2017 season in St. Louis.
