After all, they did make 1,908 of them.

The World Series trophy has been all over the country on tour, though now it’s back in a location at the Park at Wrigley where you can see it yourself (when that link says “Trophy at the Park” it’s available for viewing).

Now, there will be World Series ring ceremonies outside of Chicago to honor various members of the organization who are with other clubs in the system.

Friday in Des Moines, the Iowa Cubs will host a pre-game ring ceremony emceed by Iowa’s radio broadcaster Randy Wehofer. Cubs Director of Player Development Jaron Madison will present rings to Rob Zastryzny, Jake Buchanan, Jeimer Candelario, Felix Pena, Aaron Brooks and Zac Rosscup, as well as Iowa team owner Michael Gartner and Iowa’s president and GM Sam Bernabe.

Then next Tuesday, May 2, the South Bend Cubs will have a pre-game ring ceremony at 6:35 p.m. ET. Madison will present championship rings to the reigning Midwest League Manager of the Year Jimmy Gonzalez and his staff. Also receiving rings from the Cubs during the ceremony will be South Bend’s team President Joe Hart and Vice-President and General Manager Nick Brown. South Bend Cubs radio broadcaster Darin Pritchett will host the ceremonies.

So if you’re into seeing even more folks get Cubs World Series rings and you’re in the Des Moines or South Bend areas over the next few days, the celebration continues.
