Cubs roster move: Dylan Floro recalled, Jack Leathersich back to Iowa

The bullpen merry-go-round continues.

Jack Leathersich was, frankly, awful in his Cubs debut Thursday. Walks, hits... you surely don't need me to rehash the carnage.

The photo above might wind up being the only photo of Leathersich in a Cubs uniform:

Dylan Floro is on his fifth recall to the Cubs from Triple-A Iowa. The last two times, including on the most recent road trip to Washington, he never appeared in a game. Overall this year he's been in two games for the Cubs, throwing 6.1 innings, allowing 13 hits and six runs (8.53 ERA) and striking out six.

Assuming neither Floro nor anyone else in the pen gets lit up like Leathersich did Thursday, this is likely the last bullpen shuttle we'll see before the All-Star break.

The shuttle needs a break. I'm sure Theo and Jed need the break. The team needs the brrak. Heck, we all need the break.

Good luck, Dylan. Maybe we'll even see you pitch this weekend.
